Tight bandages restrict blood flow and increase the risk of amputation.

DO NOT Cut or Suction
Do not cut the wound or attempt to suck venom out with your mouth.

DO NOT Apply Ice
Applying ice can cause further tissue damage and does not neutralize venom.

DO NOT Run or Panic
Keep the patient calm and still. Running increases heart rate and spreads venom faster.

DO NOT Consume Alcohol
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, or pain medications (like aspirin) as they thin the blood.

DO NOT Try to Catch the Snake
Do not waste time hunting the snake. Take a photo only if safe to do so from a distance.
